Authorities have released the identify of the shooter who opened fire at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) center in Dallas, Texas.

According to reports, the sniper, who took his own life, has been identified as Joshua Jahn, age 29.

Though a motive isn't known at this point, ammunition recovered at the site had been marked with anti-ICE messages.

In his shooting spree, Jahn killed two migrants who were in an unmarked van.

Following the incident, FBI Director Kash Patel posted images of the unspent ammunition recovered from the scene, with the words "ANTI ICE" written on one of shells.

"While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase “ANTI ICE.” More updates will be forthcoming."

Patel described the attack on the ICE facility as "politically motivated."

He continued: "These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers. It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead the these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice."

Conservative investigative journalist Laura Loomer said on X.com that she had captured screen shots of Jahn's Facebook page before it was taken down.

Loomer wrote: "Joshua Jahn's profile picture from his now-wiped Facebook page per the background check results reveals ANTIFA and communist imagery. The profile photo is of an armed communist with the hammer and sickle."

She continued, noting that the text of the profile picture reads "GLORIOUS EXPOSITION, COMRADE." She also noted that Jahn also "has a previous conviction for selling Marijuana."

Top Republican leaders called for the campaign of left-wing violence to stop.

"The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I'm praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families," said Vice President JD Vance according the UK Daily Mail.

At a press conference Texas Senator Ted Cruz offered a similar opinion.

"This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE or CBP. This must stop," Cruz said, according to the Daily Mail.

He continued: "To every politician who is using rhetoric, demonizing ICE, and demonizing CBP. Stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families. Stop. This has very real consequences."

"Look, in America, we disagree. That's fine. That's the democratic process. But your political opponents are not Nazis. We need to learn to work together without demonizing each other, without attacking each other."
