If you are a conservative and you have been anywhere near X.com over the last few days, you know about the murder of Iryna Zarutska and the cold-blooded career criminal who killed her in cold blood on a passenger train.  

But you only know about this crime if you are a conservative, patriotic American who gets information from the alternative media. 

Even the New York Post has noticed the silence from the mainstream media -- and from the Democrat socialist cabal the MSM works for.

"Horror video of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska’s slaughter on Charlotte train is met with deafening silence from Dem leaders, media," the Post reported.

The Associated Press --  which currently asks for donations on its website with a pop-up proclaiming that it reports "news without an agenda" -- has been conspicuously silent on the crime.

Popular conservative X.com account End Wokeness pointed out in a post that AP News search returns 74,221 articles about George Floyd, but zero articles about Iryna Zarutska. 

American Daily Herald repeated that search on AP News. Our search turned up 74,227 results on AP for George Floyd and only 223 for Iryna Zarutska. Still, none of the headlines on the first page of those results were about the young woman murdered on the train in Charlotte, North Carolina.

What Happened In Charlotte?

Surveillance video captures the moment Iryna sits on a seat in a train in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the seat behind her is Decarlos Brown Jr., a 35-year-old black man wearing a red hoodie. While Iryna minds her own business and looks at her phone, Brown pulls out a knife, stands up and kills her. 

According to local news station WCNC, Brown stabbed Iryna three times in the throat. But, he never should have been on that train in the first place. WCNC reported that the transit authority, "confirmed Brown did not have a ticket to ride the train. There was also no security present in the exact car where the attack happened." 

"After the killing, the attacker can be seen wandering through the Lynx Blue Line train — spattering blood across the floor as he carries the weapon," the New York Post reported.

Who is Decarlos Brown Jr.

Brown, as the UK Daily Mail pointed out, is a "career criminal." He spent 2014 to 2024 in prison for armed robbery. After he was released, he was arrested for assaulting his own sister and not long later was arrested again for trespassing and "injury to personal property," according to the Daily Mail. 

In 2022 he was arrested for domestic disturbance. According to Daily Mail beginning in 2007 when he was a minor, for the next seven years to 2014 "he was arrested at least six times for crimes including felony larceny, robbery with a dangerous weapon and communicating threats."

The narrative is already being constructed that Brown is mentally ill, rather than just being a monstrous criminal. WCNC cited "Former FBI agent and federal prosecutor M. Quentin Williams [who] said the attack highlights broader issues surrounding mental health and public safety." 

According to the station, "his attorney has filed a motion to have his competency evaluated. Brown was also arrested back in January and was charged with misusing 911. In July, a motion was filed in that case to have his competence evaluated."
