"I think with a high degree of certainty we have him in custody," President Trunp said on Fox & Friends this morning.
According to the President, the suspect was turned in to police by a minister.
"It was a minister who was involved with law enforcement," Trump said, continuing: "his good friend is a top U.S. Marshall -- and they took it from there.
The name of the suspect is set to be revealed later today, according to the UK Daily Mail.
"Well, I hope he's going to be found guilty, I would imagine and I hope he gets the death penalty," The president said.
Trump continued: "What he did, Charlie Kirk, he was the finest person that, he didn't deserve this. He worked so hard and so well, everybody liked him."
